Energy

What if four good hours are enough for today?

Some days begin with a calculation. How much pain is here? How much energy? Which task will cost the least and still make the day feel like mine?

It is tempting to treat a smaller window as a problem to solve. But four good hours are not a failed version of eight. They are the capacity that is available today. The work is choosing what deserves it.

That choice gets easier when rest is part of the plan instead of the reward at the end. A short list. A clear stopping point. One thing that helps tomorrow exist.

There is no perfect formula. There is only noticing, adjusting, and refusing to turn a body’s limits into a moral judgement.
